The Seminar Site Location

The conference will be held in the buildings of the AGH University of Science and Technology situated very near the centre of Krakow (walking distance about 15 minutes).

Travel Information

By Plane
The flights to Krakow are operated by the Polish Airlines LOT, Lufthansa, British Airways, Austrian Airlines and Swissair. LOT is a member of Star Alliance. The airport Krakow-Balice is located about 10 km from the city centre.

>From the airport you can reach our University site by a shuttle bus (about 30 minutes) number 208, direction "DWORZEC GLOWNY". The bus stop is in front of the Terminal. Get off at the bus stop "CZARNOWIEJSKA". An alternative is to take a taxi directly from the airport which will cost about 60 Polish Zloty (about 15 Euro).

By Train
Direct train connections exist between Krakow and a number of cities in Europe (Berlin, Hamburg, Kiev, Prague, Budapest, Vienna). From the Main Railway Station you can reach our University site by bus lines: 179 (get off at the bus stop "AGH"), 208, 228, 501, 511 (get off at the bus stop "CZARNOWIEJSKA").

Transportation within the city

The net of tram and bus lines helps to move within the city. The single ticket for public transport costs 2.40 Polish Zloty (0.5 Euro). You can also buy a daily ticket or a week card. The tickets are available at the newspaperagents. Taking a taxi for a route within a city limits shouldn't be more expensive than 30 Polish Zloty (8 Euro).
